Kathy Speaks as Recipient of the 20th Anniversary Thelma Gibson Awards Recognizing Women In Philanthropy and Community Leadership (2019).
For 20 years, the Thelma Gibson Awards have recognized women in Miami-Dade County who have made significant impact in the Miami-Dade community and beyond. Kathy spoke to an audience of almost 500 attendees about how we can each identify the things that are most purposeful to us, and overcome our own struggles to help others.

Lean In Leadership Conference with Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO and founder of LeanIn.org.
Kathy has joined Sheryl Sandberg and women from around the world since the beginning of Lean In in 2015 at the annual Regional Leaders Conference in Palo Alto.
Kathy's Change Your Shoes and Lean In circles provide leadership and empowerment for women and girls suffering from sexual abuse and human trafficking to help them "lean in" to the life they desire.

Thrive Global Launch (2016).
Kathy joined Arianna Huffington and others for the official launch of Thrive Global in New York City. Kathy has joined Arianna's Thrive Global team to facilitate workshops with Thrive Global clients around the world, in addition to Kathy's ongoing workshops and programs to create positive change for people, communities and organizations.

Kathy was grateful and honored to attend rare teachings over four days at the residence of His Holiness The XIV Dalai Lama in Mc Leod Ganj, Dharamshala, India.
University of Tibetan Studies in Sarnath, India (2016).
Kathy facilitates a four day "Essential Leadership" program for students and faculty of the University of Tibetan Studies in Sarnath, India. The leadership program integrates Buddhist philosophies and practices into leadership training.
Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) America: Kathy joins Secretary Hillary Clinton at the CGI America annual meeting in Denver, Colorado (2014).
Kathy's CGI America Commitment To Action trains unemployed "opportunity youth" and adults in workforce readiness, leadership, and success skills in order to gain employment and pursue the life they desire.

Change Your Shoes and Lean In With Sheryl Sandberg (2014).
Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO and founder of LeanIn.org, visits Kathy's Lean In program that works with underserved girls. Kathy provides weekly empowerment and leadership workshops to help young girls step away from negative influences, and step into positive choices for their future.
Harvard Business School, Guest Speaker (2017).
Kathy was guest speaker at the January Harvard Business School alumni evening and facilitated a workshop session, "Beyond Surviving Work and Life to Thriving."

Kathy joins Jack Canfield and his team for another week of "train the trainer" success training in Scottsdale, Arizona. Jack is recognized as America's #1 Success Coach, and is best known for co-creating the Chicken Soup for the Soul ® series. Jack is also coauthor of The Success Principles, and runs transformational leadership and success programs around the world.

The Miguel Cabrera Foundation Launch (2013).
Miguel and Kathy launch The Miguel Cabrera Foundation in Detroit. The foundation has a mission to help underserved childen achieve great things through baseball.
Kathy worked with Miguel and his colleagues for more than a year to establish the foundation and develop programs in the United States and in Venezuela.

The Pedro Martinez & Brothers Foundation (2012).
Kathy joins Pedro on a trip to the Dominican Republic to visit some of the youth and communites helped by the foundation.
Kathy worked with Pedro, his wife Carolina, and his team for over a year to establish the foundation and its programs.
